ANOTHER ORDER

2010-2013,

 

The projects in the “Another Order Series” reorganize panoramics of mountains that are a part of Latin history. These mountains permeate the legendary imagination of inumerous cultures. They represent the “slowing down” and orderliness of time, along with material solidness. Transposed to our vision of history, in “Another Order”, spaces such as Serra da Canastra in Minas Gerais, or Chapada da Diamantina, in Bahia; they are cut into fragments and relocated, presenting new organizational possibilities. Each piece of this series does not have a final compositional order and each can change its place indefinitely.

 

Os trabalhos da Série Another Order reorganizam panorâmicas de montanhas marcadas na história do Brasil. As montanhas são cenários de forte presença no imaginário lendário de inúmeras culturas. Representam o tempo lento, ordenado e a solidez material. Transpostas para nossa visão da história, em Another Order, espaços como a Serra da Canastra em Minas Gerais ou a Chapada da Diamantina, na Bahia são fatiados em fragmentos que recolocados, apresentam novas possíveis organizações. Cada trabalho desta série não possuí uma ordem compositiva final e cada fragmento pode ser indefinidamente trocado de lugar.
