El jesuíta Antonio Julián vino para el Nuevo Reino de Granada en 1749 iniciar su misión para convertir a los Guajiros. Em 1784 el sacerdote publicó La Perla de la América. El libro describe la región de Santa Marta, en el caribe colombiano, sus tribus indígenas y los productos de la colônia elegidos por el para el comercio de la corona en Europa.
Este trabajo fui realizado como parte de la serie OTROS TERRITORIOS en el pie del RESGUARDO KOGUI-MALAYO-ARHUACO: una parte del rio Perico Aguao que se encontra totalmente seca después del rio ser artificialmente desviado.

The document LA PERLA DE LA AMÉRICA was written by the Jesuit Antonio Julian and published in 1784. Julian came to the "New Kingdom of Granada" in the Mission of 1749 at the beginning to convert the region's natives into Christians and investigate the potential economic potentials of the land, among them: the AYU (or Coke leaf), described in SPEECH VI.
Based on this document I created an action in which I walk backwards carrying an animal skull during a wide and completely dry path of the Perico Aguao River located at the foot of the Kogui-Malay-Arhuaco Reservoir. Perico is also, as the costumers popularly called cocaine.
